The kind of music that needs to be taught while teaching preschool music would be very different from the music that is taught in regular music classes. The Preschool Music is specially designed for kids. The songs will have easier lyrics and the beats would be normal. You will observe that the songs are comparatively easy to sing for the kids. The kids will learn these songs more quickly and at the same time they will enjoy them. Many songs are participation oriented and involve body movements along with singing the songs. The kids learn the music quickly this way.
Songs which involve a lot of action from kids point of view goes well with them. The songs which include audience participation are especially famous with the toddlers. You can sing songs like put your right feet out. This particular song includes what action needs to be done in the song itself. Songs like this, are really helpful to get the kids moving. They might initially feel shy to move but as the song goes on they will simply enjoy it. As a teacher you need to encourage the kids to move their hands and body while singing the song.
