I have an overall pleasant experience with dentists, which is a bit strange considering my poor teeth. From dermal fillers to check-ups, I enjoy the experience. I have extremely weak teeth so every visit ended in forage and other scary stuff. I know I'm lucky. First, my dentist is an absolute expert and second - while my teeth may be pretty vulnerable I don't really feel them. This is probably called somehow and is probably a defect, but it is quite convenient. Only once during my whole life I had to ask the dentist for an anaesthetic. Usually he proposed it to me and I refused, just because it wasn't necessary. Also, I don't like the numbness that goes with it. I can't say there is no fear involved. Now, for example, I am pretty afraid of going to the dentist because I know it will probably cost me a lot of time and money. Still, the dentist himself does not scare me - I even look upon him as a friend. |
